FAQs

Why should we choose you to photograph our Wedding?
I am an established Professional Photographer with over 13 years experience in social photography and I really love photographing all types of Weddings and Civil Partnerships. Click here to read Testimonials from satisfied couples. I also meet the photographic and business skills requirements as a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers - SWPP.

Why do you use 2 Photographers?
Weddings by their very nature are dynamic events, with constantly changing conditions. Although a good professional photographer will be able to capture the essential elements of the day on their own, we have found that by using 2 photographers, we really can be in two places at once and take shots from different or unusual perspectives. For instance, one of us can be shooting the Bride and Groom close-ups during the ceremony (Vicar/Registrar permitting), whilst the other shoots from the rear of the Church or high level in the organ loft, or rear of the sanctified room for Civil Ceremonies, and by working as a team we can complete the photo sessions with the minimum of fuss and direction.

Do you make Home Visits?
Yes. We offer free, no obligation home visits to discuss your requirements and so you can also view some of our Prints, Story Books, USB Memory Sticks, Acrylic and Canvas Prints, Thank You Cards and Albums.

Are there any hidden costs?
No. All the Gold, Diamond and Platinum Collections are fully flexible so that you pay only for what your require. Therefore, the price I quote you will be the price you pay for the Collection we agree upon, no matter how far in advance you book us, or if our future prices change

If, after your wedding, you order Optional Extras, such as Reprints, additional Story Books, Thank You Cards, Acrylic and/or Canvas Prints, Collage Posters, Mario Acerboni Wedding Album, or Framed Prints, then these will be additional costs.

Do your prices include VAT?
There is NO VAT to add on, so the prices you see for our ‘Collections’ and Optional Extras are the prices you pay, and they continue to be realistic and competitive to suit all budgets and weddings.

Do you photograph in Black and White and Colour?
Yes, we usually select a number of images from the total that our experience tells us will benefit from being in black and white. You can of course ask us to shoot your whole wedding in black and white (click here to read more on Chiaroscuro Weddings) or the whole in colour if that’s what you require, although most couples ask for a mixture of both, and they find this works really well.

Do we receive a Photo Album for my Photographs?
All
Collections receive a beautifully produced, complimentary, 20 page, hard back, 11”x81/2”, digitally printed photo Story Book with a colour wrap-around dust jacket and the Bride and Groom’s name printed on the dust jacket and hard cover. Each one has high visual impact, and contains a selection of images from your whole day -  up to 90 for the Gold Collection, 120 for the Diamond and 150 for the Platinum. They also make a perfect ‘coffee table’ book for families and friends to remember your special  occasion and to treasure for years ahead.

Only the Platinum Collection provides a complimentary, Mario Acerboni Italian Wedding album with 15 double sided leaves and acrylic cover. These are compiled with the photographs of your choice, and will give you a lifetime of luxurious memories. If requested, your prints can be supplied in a fabulous 'Metallic' finish for an additional charge.

For Gold  and Diamond Collections, you can order a Mario Acerboni as an Optional Extra, or alternatively, why not place one on your Wedding List as a shared or single Gift?

We also offer credit card sized Handbag books containing 20 photographs, and Grandparent books size 8x6 inches containing 30 photographs. Both books make lovely gifts and momentos of your day and are also ideal for a quick 'Show and Tell' when family and friends ask to see some photos straight after your honeymoon!

Can we View and Order our Photograph Reprints online?
Yes. A few days after you wedding, we upload all your photographs to a password protected ‘Client Area’ on our website where they can be Viewed and Ordered securely online using Credit/Debit Cards through the leading online payment provider, WorldPay. The Photographs are then delivered directly to the address entered. This is extremely useful for families and friends who are spread geographically across the UK or around the World, and is easier and quicker than the traditional means of sending prints or a USB/DVD of images on a time-consuming ‘round robin’ journey.

Can we have all our Photographs on a USB Memory Stick or DVD?
Yes, we provide a USB Memory Stick of Licensed jpeg format digital files, in a flip-top presentation box and magnetic catch, with both Low Resolution photos suitable for sharing by email or on social media networks, and Hi-Resolution photos suitable for printing up to 40x30 inches. If you would prefer your images on a DVD, then we can also do this.

The License allows the Bride and Groom ONLY to make Prints from the USB/DVD. Other Family and Guests can view and must purchase prints using your password on the  ‘Client Area’ on our website.

As authors of the images, we retain Copyright on them all, and the number we deliver is deemed to be correct.

Under our Contract Terms & Conditions, the images cannot be copied. altered, used for your financial gain, or to discriminate against potential future sales.

We would like you to manage the Photograph Reprint process. How does this work?
If you would prefer us to manage the Reprint process on your behalf, then for an additional administration fee, we will of course be delighted to do so.

We will use an accredited professional laboratory to produce your order and we will personally deliver the Prints to you, or send them by Royal Mail if more appropriate.

Can we have our Photographs printed elsewhere?
We cannot accept responsibility for any third party printing that the Bride and Groom may use for printing their photographs from the supplied USB/DVD. We strongly recommend that they order from their Wedding Gallery on the ‘Client Area’ on our website. Alternatively, we recommend using a professional Processing Lab such as Streamline Imaging, where colour management, density and quality are more strictly controlled, rather than using a High Street photo printing chain who often batch process images using an average setting for everything, which can lead to very disappointing results.

Our friend's Wedding Photos have faded after only a short while - will ours?
No. We use a Professional Laboratory who print onto Kodak Endura or Fuiji Archive Paper and they will last a lifetime if kept out of direct sunlight. The technicians also monitor colour and density balance before printing.

Our Wedding is not on a Saturday. Can we still book you?
Yes. We work on any day of the week, all year round (7/365), even Christmas and New Year!

Do you raise your prices for Public or Bank Holidays?

No - we like to Keep It Simple! So our 'Collection' prices are the same for every day of the year - the price only changes if you tailor a Collection to suit your specific requirements.

Our Wedding is more than 35 miles from Cambridge. How far do you travel?
We travel anywhere in the UK and abroad, but for destinations further than 35 miles from Cambridge City, we may at our discretion charge the AA recommended mileage rate of 45p per mile, plus any moderate subsistence costs if an overnight stay is required. For ‘Destination Weddings’ outside the UK, we will charge standard rates for plane flights, local train networks and rental cars where available and appropriate.

How soon should we book you?
We recommend you book us at least 6-12 months in advance, but appreciate this isn’t always possible. If your plans are on a shorter timetable, and your wedding date is free in our diary, then you can book us. Contact us to check our availability - we welcome your call at any time.

How do we secure your services?
A non-returnable Booking Fee of £250 will secure your date in our diary. The balance is due 4 weeks before your wedding date. Click

We accept payment by:
Credit/Debit Card from VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Diners
Online Bank Money Transfer

Should we meet before the Wedding date?
Definitely. Even if you decide not to have a Pre-Wedding shoot, then it’s essential we meet at least once before your wedding date as we will be spending a lot of time with you and your guests on the day. This allows us to get to know each other, and we can discuss your plans in detail for the day including, timings, preferred photos, Story Book or Album design, and any Optional Extras allowing us to tailor your Collection exactly to your requirements.

If the wedding is in a Church we will also attend the Rehearsal and discuss with the Vicar/Reverend if photography is allowed during the Ceremony, and to familiarise ourselves with the optimum camera angles and Order of Service. We will also ask whether Confetti throwing is allowed within the Church grounds.

We will then meet again about 4 weeks before your wedding to finalise all the details and any changes that may have arisen. This meeting is also a convenient time to pay the balance, and then at least you don’t have to be concerned whether you’ve paid us or not on your big day! Also, if you pay by cheque, you can post-date it for the first working day after your wedding, so you can be doubly sure that we’ll turn up!
