London #1

Here's my selection of photographs using my Fuji X-T1 and 10-24mm lens (some of the night shots at ISO 12,800) from my Photo Walk around London's South Bank with a group of photographers.

We started at Borough Market aiming to catch some of the action, and although it was jam-packed, making photography extremely difficult, we persevered. We took in Southwark Cathedral, views of the Shard, City Hall, the Millennium Bridge and Shad Thames at night.

We'd also hope to photograph the reflections of lighting in the Thames, but even though it was high tide, a stiff breeze made the surface very choppy indeed. However, we were very fortunate that as we photographed Tower Bridge, the cantilevered roads had to be raised to allow a larger Paddle Wheel pleasure cruiser to pass underneath.

As we headed home after 10 hours, we walked across Tower Bridge and around the Tower, now devoid of ceramic poppies, and onto the Tube.

A very long and tiring day, amongst the crowds, but most enjoyable : )
